Sixteen years in the making, Cape Sanctuary public tours have finally launched! See our project for yourself, starting at our extensive native nurseries before moving into the sanctuary. Travel through the Ocean Beach Wilderness area in off-road vehicles, stopping along the way to feed endangered takahē and kākāriki. Enjoy morning tea at a boutique hut, with views spanning over native forest, farmland and sand dunes. Venture to our pest-free enclosed site, perched atop the Ocean Beach cliffs and learn about our sea-bird restoration project.
